John Bence and Anna Perricci of the SAA Web Archiving Roundtable designed and administered a survey to assess the needs and preferences of community members who would like to learn more about web archives. This presentation gives more information about the findings of the survey and the path forward to meet the needs described by those who responded.

•  50  people  –  41  SAA  members,  8  non  SAA  members,  1  was  not  sure  

•  Range  of  insEtuEon  types  –  Higher  educaEon  –  Businesses  and  nonprofits  – Museums  and  specialized  research  libraries  –  State  and  naEonal  libraries

• What  are  people  using?  – 49%  Archive-­‐It,  12%  HTTrack,  11%  WaS-­‐CDL,  6%  Hanzo  Archives;  28%  other  (alternately  or  addiEonally)  

•  Staffing  #  and  %  – 46%  1  FTE,  36%  2-­‐3  FTE,  18%  4-­‐6+  FTE    – 80%  1-­‐10  hours/week
