DEFINITION OF THRILLER

A definition of a thriller is a novel or film with an

exciting plot this would normally involve crime or

actions with a hint of something that could be seen

as scary.

Lucy is an action, sci-fi thriller which has recently

Lucy is an action, sci-fi thriller because a thriller film is based on suspense. Action is therefore an necessity and therefore it helps build the suspense. Lucy is the

protagonist who has been caught up in the middle of the Antagonists plan.

Taken is an action, crime thriller which is based on the

idea that a father has to tried and find his daughter who has

been kidnapped in Europe.

Se7en is a Drama, mystery, thriller, when two detectives

hunt down a serial killer who use the seven most deadliest

sins to carry out his murders.

In the film taken there are loads of different types of

props used during the film, this is because the genre is an

thriller which is built on suspense and therefore by

including props within the film add my tension to the film The key elements of taken is that Liam Nelson is an experienced ex agent and therefore when his daughter get kidnapped he has to bring out what he has learnt in the past. This is ironic because the job that ruined his marriage is the job that he has to use in order to save his daughter in time. Therefore guns have to be used a lot during the film, which also adds more suspense.

everyone and everything towards the ends of the film. This

is a meaningful song because it is very slow and dark which

In a thriller the key element that you would find

would be a lot of crime, action, suspense and

sometimes even horror depending on the type of

film.

With se7en the key element would be mystery because it is always keeping you on age throughout the film.

There is a lot of action which involve the protagonist and

antagonist reaching there climax with one another.

The use of music, normally involves really low and dysfunctional

sounds all together.

The clothes that they normally wear involve dark clothes.

The lighting is normally low because it adds more suspense.

There is a crime that is committed usually in a thriller film.

STEREOTYPICAL REPRESENTATION

The stereotypical representation of Taken would be

the girl who is in distressed because she has been

kidnapped and then her father who is an ex- agent

has to fly to Europe in order of getting his daughter

home safe.

The stereotypical representation of Lucy would be

that you have a group of Antagonist who have a plan

but in order for the plan to work they need to get an

innocent young women involved. Towards the end

the Antagonist loose because there mission does not

go the way that they had wanted it to go.

The stereotypical representation of Se7en is that

you have to protagonist who are trying to help

captured a serial killer who would be the antagonist.

The view involves a number of high and lows.

SUM UP THRILLER

Overall a thriller type of film would involve a

variety of different things such as action, crime and

sometimes horrors. The element that I will be using

in my final project would be a thriller with the

element of action because it helps with the suspense

of the whole movie.
