Reading Levels
Teachers should bring students texts with authentic vocabulary. Without words that are written for language learners.
There is some authentic written material which beginner students can understand to some degree: menus, timetables, signs and basic instructions
How well the students are able to deal with reading material will depend on whether the texts are designed for intensive or extensive reading.
If we want students to read for pleasure, we have to give them texts that are not too difficult for them, so they will not feel frustrated.
