FASHION : A POPULAR OR THE LATEST STYLE OF CLOTHING .

FASHION CYCLE : CHANGES IN FASHION LIFE CYCLE IS CALLED FASHION CYCLE .

HATS :

INTRODUCTION : HAT WAS FIRST INTRODUCED AROUND 3300 B.CRISE: Hats were commonly worn in ancient Egypt.It was used to keep their heads cool.

PEAK: In the Middle Ages, hats were a marker of social status and used to single out certain groups. With the increase in the popularity of the hats people used different materials for making hats like sheep skin , wool etc.

REJECTION : DUE TO SUCH DRAW BACKS BY THE LATE 1900’S HATS WERE OUT FASHIONED AND INCONVENIENT FOR THE PEOPLE .

Click icon to add pictureDECLINE : Once the Great War of 1914-18 began, fashion was influenced by the new wartime employment activities women had to engage in and the need for more practical utilitarian dress could not help but filter into what there was of mainstream fashion. Uniforms were everywhere as women did jobs once done by men and every job had a distinct uniform.

BELLBOTTOMS

• INTRODUCTION :In the early 19th century, when a standardized uniform did not yet exist in the U.S Navy, some sailors adopted a style of wide trousers ending in bell-shaped cuffs.

•RISE :In the mid-1960s, bell-bottoms became fashionable for both men and women in Europe and North America.[4] Often made of denim, they flared out from the bottom of the calf, and had slightly curved hems.

•PEAK:By 1967, bell-bottoms had moved from high fashion to part of the hippie counter-culture movementBell-bottoms were even mentioned in popular music, such as the single "Bell Bottom Blues" by blues-rock group Derek and the Dominos.• DECLINE :By around 2006, the bell-shaped silhouette started to fade

as the skinny jean rose in popularity.• REJECTION :Due to the introduction of the skinny jeans the fashion of

bell bottoms have vanished completely in the early 2000.

• INTRODUCTION : The princess line is popularly associated with Charles Frederick Worth who first introduced it in the early 1870s. It was named in honour of the famously elegant Princess ALEXANDRA .

• RISE :By the late 1870s and early 1880s the Princess dress was a popular style.

•PEAK : It is considered one of the first "bodycon" (body-conscious) fashions due to its extremely closely fitted design, presenting the figure in a natural form undistorted by either crinoline or bustle.

•DECLINE: In 1951 the couturier Christian Dior presented a princess-line based fashion collection which is sometimes called the 'Princess Line. This led to the decline in the use of crinoline or bustle.

• REJECTION : As the fashion and taste of the people where changing ,the choice changed from wearing a heavy crinoline gown to a simple princess line gown which are still very famous during Cristian weddings .
