Our school is on the left side of the river.

The school was founded in 1978. It is 32 years old. At first it was known as School number 14. In 1997 the school changed its name in AVRAM IANCU” SCHOOL

The school activity is carried on in 14 classrooms, 10 cabinets, 2 laboratories, a library and a gym.

The School Gym is huge. It hosts a lot of sports events.

Around the school there is a beautiful small park.

Every school year, the school organizes: contests on different topics: history, literature, culture and civilization, education for health (drugs, alcohol, smoking, AIDS), plastic education, road education, editing and publishing magazines, shows, concerts of Christmas carols, theme trips, educational trips inside and outside the country, hikes.

The external partnerships include cooperation with schools from Hungary and Poland .

Beginning with this school year “Avram Iancu” is an eco-school.
