Our Kindergarten

- At the moment we take care of 76 children in 4 groups • 2 groups from 0,4 month-6 years old children (17children)• 1 group from 2-6 years old children (20children)• 1 group from 3-6 years old children (20children)- Every day we´re open from 07:30-16:30h- In the Team we are 15 kollegs- In every group works a native-speaker

Hello, my name is Frieda. I´m a little mouse.I´m living with my friends in the bilingual Kindergarten Zeppenheimer Weg in Düsseldorf, Germany. Some children talk to me in german and some in english. It´s so nice to be here.

Cloakroom The children can come from 07:30 – 09:00h .Every group has a cloakroom.Each child has it´s own space with a photo of themselves.Here we hang our coats and put our shoes before we go to our group.

Morning circle Every morning at 9 o´clock we meet in the circle. We talk about relevant topics, for example which day, month and season it is or which project we have in the house. After that we sing and play games.

Breakfast07:30 – 10:00h

The children bring their own breakfast from home.We offer them milk, tea or water to drink. It´s so nice to sit here and talk to my friends.

Freeplay and special activities09:30 – 10:30h We celebrate Easter, thanksgiving, St.Martin and Christmas at our local church. Our in-house projects:- Arts - Pre-school activities- Experiments- Language exercise- sportsactivities

Freeplay and special activities 10:30 – 11:30h

After all the projects it´s time for our freeplay in the garden. Sometimes we go for nature walks or visit our town Kaiserswerth, or go to the sheeps. Whatever the weather we go outside for at least an hour. In the afternoon we can go outside, too, till we pick up.

LunchtimeEveryday the children will share a cooked lunch. Before we start we say a prayer. We eat in two groups.

The first group eats at 11:30h. After that they will have their nap.At 12:30h the second group eats, followed by quiet time.

Quiet time 12:00 – 14:00h Babies and younger children have a nap in the quiet time. Quiet time for

the older children is not just for chilling out or listening to story books. It´s also quality time for them. They have the opportunity to choose e.g.

from a big variety of montessori-toys, board games etc.

Snacktime and freeplay time14:30 – 16:30 In the afternoon the children get a snack which they help to prepare.After the snack some children participate in different projects. If the weather is fine, we go outside.
