There are very high energy consumption's in every day house hold

including dish washer, dryer, washing machine, fridge and power

tools. While on the low energy consumption's are kettle, consul,

laptop and a TV. during the year a boiler is having higher energy

consumption in the winter than the summer.

There are also non house hold equipment which has a very high

consumption of energy including vehicle's , modes of transport and

building equipment.

In our school, Year 7 - Science design & technology building, there are

different kinds of equipment that consume a lot of energy per minute

when it is in use: power saw (2000 w), vacuum former (500 w), drill

(300 w) and saw sharpener (200 w).

How could people save energy in the

evenings when their consumption is

higher?

The best areas to install solar panels are where the most sun shines

in a day. However, most solar panels on people's houses, for

example, are fairly inefficient. Less than 14% of the energy that

reaches them will be converted to electricity.

The Solar Schools project is putting clean energy in classrooms all

over the country. Schools set a fundraising target for their very own

solar roof, then everyone chips in to help make it happen and they

are using them to save energy bills.

The sun offers the most abundant, reliable and pollution-free power

in the world. However, problems with solar energy, namely the

expensive cost and inconsistent availability, have prevented it from

becoming a more utilized energy source.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of

solar panels?

Should solar panels be installed in the

school?

Electric cars save pollution. They are good for short drives.

Drivers do not need to spend that much money on electric cars on fuel

petrol. An average family of five which own a five to seven car seat

spends a lot of money each year.

However, it's harder to find charging points than petrol stations and you

can only really find them in car parks in some areas in the UK.

Installing charging points at home is expensive.

Electric cars are overall more expensive than normal cars.

Another disadvantage is that electric cars are not good for long drives. So

if electricity run out, your car won't move. Another problem is electric car

doesn't go very far for the time it takes to charge.

The time to miles ratio is very low.

Is the electric car the best option to option to reduce CO2 emissions?

What do parents of students in our
