Props List We will be using a champagne bottle to coincide with the lines ‘Bought a hundred dollar bottle of champagne like me, just to pour that motherfucker down the drain like me,’. The artist in our video will actually do what the lines say, and pour the content of the bottle down the drain of a bath. We are also considering showing the artist drinking out of the bottle, and as we are are underage, we will be substituting the content of the bottle for an alternative, this will either be water that has been coloured with a yellow food dye, or it will be substituted with lemonade.

We will be using a matchbox to link with the lyric : ‘lighting matches just to swallow up the flame like me?’ The matchbox will be used in a close up shot, and we will see the artist setting a match on fire. Obviously we will have to take a health and safety risk assessment as we are dealing with fire, we will ensure that several precautions are put in place to make sure that no one is harmed whilst filming the scene, and also that nothing that is set alight that doesn’t need to be. .

For the line ‘low on self esteem so you run on gasoline’ we show the artist burning a photo of themselves to show the low self-esteem. However, considering how we do not have polaroid photos, we will make this out of a pre-existing photo of our artist and use white card to create the polaroid looking image that our artist will burn.

This fake water bill will be used for the line ‘would you use your water bill to dry the stain like me?’, here, the artist will simply drop the bill into the bath (on top of the drain).

The food dye will possibly used to colour the water inside of the champagne bottle to look like real champagne, if coloured water does not look authentic enough, then we will use lemonade and recolour it to make that look like champagne.

The lemonade will be used as a substitute for real champagne, and we will colour it with yellow food dye to give the lemonade a tinge. This will be used in the first verse and the bridge, however the liquid inside the champagne bottle will only be seen on the line ‘just to pour that motherfucker’ down the drain like me,’. After this the bottle’s contents will not be seen so we will only need a small amount of lemonade and not a giant bottle.

The lighter will be used in one shot, and is combined with the line ‘low on self esteem so you run on gasoline’ The lighter will be used to burn one corner of the polaroid photo of the artist, we also felt that the lighter was much safer to use than a matchstick, however we will also be very careful when it comes to filming this shot.

Locations - Interior Bathroom:

Are you insane like me? Been in pain like me?Bought a hundred dollar bottle of champagne like me?Just to pour that motherfucker down the drain like me?Would you use your water bill to dry the stain like me?

Are you high enough without the Mary Jane like me?Do you tear yourself apart to entertain like me?

Studio:

And all the people say,"You can't wake up, this is not a dream,

You're part of a machine, you are not a human being,With your face all made up, living on a screen,Low on self esteem, so you run on gasoline."

Oh, oh, oh, oh,I think there's a flaw in my code

Oh, oh, oh, oh,These voices won't leave me alone,

,Well my heart is gold, and my hands are cold

With using the bathroom shots, we will use it from the beginning of the song up to the middle of the second verse. We chose to use a bathroom as it links directly to the line “Just to pour that motherfucker down the drain like me?” and we thought it would make more sense to continue that shot for the other lines, instead of cutting to several different locations.

For the studio shots, we will use it throughout the chorus due to the availability of studio lights and a grey background that can be darkened. This is required for the line “You’re part of a machine, you’re not a human being” as this is where the artist is revealed with a robotic eye in a dark space.

Locations - ExteriorWoodland:

Are you deranged like me? Are you strange like me?

Lighting matches just to swallow up the flame like me?

Do you call yourself a fucking hurricane like me?

Pointing fingers ‘cause you'll never take the blame like me?

Bridge:

Do the people whisper 'bout you on the train like me?

For the outside shots in the woodland, we will use it after the first chorus. This is to show a contrast to the interior shots in the first verse. Also, when lighting the match for the second line, it is safer to do this outside rather than in a small area.

For the bridge shot, we will be above the train track on the pavement as it is looking down onto the tracks. It is mainly for the like “Do the people whisper ‘bout you on the train like me?” and won’t directly show a train, but it will represent the idea in a safe and non-literal manner.
