Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a large rectangular baking tray with butter to prevent the pizza from sticking to the pan and set aside. 2. Prepare toppings (dice vegetables and shred mozzarella cheese) and in a skillet, sauté onion (optional: add minced garlic) over medium heat until translucent. 3. In a frying pan cook strips of bacon on medium high heat until crispy, and place cooked strips on a plate lined with paper towel to absorb excess grease. 4. Once cool, cut or crumble bacon into bit sized pieces for topping. 5. Unwrap the pizza dough, knead on a floured surface with your hands and a rolling pin and place it in the center of the oiled baking tray, slowly working the pizza dough outwards with your fingers, spreading it to the edges of the pan. 6. Using a brush or the back of a spoon, spread a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil over the pizza dough and lightly sprinkle 1 tablespoon of oregano to coat the pizza. Add sauce, vegetables and meat toppings, and sprinkle mozzarella on top. 28 SEPT PIZZA Ingredients: 2 bags of store-bought pizza dough 1 jar of tomato sauce (any kind) 1 ball of mozzarella Pepperoni (sliced) 5 leaves of chopped fresh basil 1 green pepper (diced) 5 cooked strips of bacon (crumbled) 1 small yellow onion (finely chopped) 1 tablespoon of oregano Extra virgin olive oil and butter Preparation: 20 minutes Cook time: 35 minutes in oven Yield: 12+ servings Temperature: 350 degrees Let dough sit in a covered bowl on your counter for 2-4 hours before you start cooking! Add additional toppings of your choice; chicken, spinach, broccoli, olives… the options are endless!
