To make a word plural, we usually add –s.

Examples:

1.cat –cats2.dog –dogs3.table –tables4.computer –computers5.book –books

2. When a word ends in ch, sh, s,or x, we add –es to make the word plural.Examples: 1. watch –watches2. box- boxes3.bus –buses4. glass–glasses5.brush –brushes

3. When a word ends in a consonant + y, we replace the y with , –ies to make the word plural.

Examples: 1. study –studies2. bunny- bunnies3.cherry –cherries4. baby–babies5. lily–lilies

4. When a word ends in a vowel + y, we just add, –s to make the word plural.

Examples: 1. boy –boys2. monkey- monkeys3. key–keys4. toy–toys
