Paper mache Jack-o-Lantern (Jack-o-Lantern de papel maché)

Art Project

∗ 1 balloon (1 globo).∗ White glue (cola blanca).∗ Water (agua).∗ Lots of newspapers cut into strips (Muchos

periódicos cortados en tiras).∗ Orange, green and black paint, plus brushes (Pintura

naranja, verde y negra, además de brochas).

WHAT YOU NEED:(Lo que necesitas)

∗ Mix glue with water and remove the mixture. (Mezclar la cola con el agua y remover)

1. Make paper mache(hacer papel mache)

2. Inflate balloon.(Inflar el globo)

3. Drag newspapers strips, one at a time through the paper mache mixture. When thoroughly saturated, drape strips

around the balloon.(mojar las tiras de papel en la mezcla de una en una. Cuando estén empapadas extenderlas alrededor del globo)

4. Repeat in overlapping layers until entire balloon is covered with wet strips.

(repetir el proceso sobreponiendo capas hasta que el globo quede cubierto con tiras húmedas)

5. Let it dry for a few days.(dejar secar unos días)

6. Cover whole “pumpkin” with orange paint.

(pintar la “calabaza” con pintura naranja)

7. …and let it dry.(…y dejar secar)

8. Add green “stem” and black eyes, nose and mouth.

(añadir el tallo verde y ojos, nariz y boca negros)

9. Display your work and enjoy it!(expón tu trabajo y ¡difrútalo!
