Context and motivation
Evaluate processes related with the preservation, dissemination and knowledge search through open access repositories, it´s gives us the opportunity to improve the experience of users that are immersed in different processes and allows to know the level the users’ experience when perform tasks like manage, disseminate and seek resources inside open access repository by integrating Discovery Tools.

Research question
What is the relationship that exists between the interface’s usability of a open access repository with discovery tools and the experience of them users involved to the use it, in accordance with their characteristics and motivations?

Research approach and methods
• Mixed design method• Population and simple: 15 participants, 5 by each type of profile, to
detect the 100% of them problems (more important) in them different processes of each one (manager, depositary and finder), and will be distributed in different moments of the process of development.
• Study Variables: Discovery Tools (DT), User experience design, Usability Evaluation.
• Instruments and techniques: Study Competitive, surveys, focus group.

Stages
First Stage• Competitive reports, documentation templates, diagrams, workflows,
architecture information and design interactive.
Second Stage• Usability evaluation for tree moments.
• Current version• Validation• New interface
Third stage• Surveys: Identify the profiles of users, them needs, expectative and
motivations for present final results.

NEED
Provide a friendly interface that integrates features of science 2.0 for management and dissemination of scientific research.
Integration of the characteristics of the discovery tools and the compatibility with the standards of the open access repositories.
Link people to share information, resources and documents with others.
Considering new trends in information management, interoperability, usability standards, its possible to know the motivations and characteristics of users that use an open access repository.

DISSERTATION STATUS
The thesis is in the first stage, which involves the analysis of the context of the repository and the documentation of the processes of management, storage and dissemination of the educational resources of energy sustainability. The theoretical framework of the first construct of this research, seeks to validate the criteria of evaluation of the Discovery Tools free or licensed and update them so that these features are integrated in the repository.
