The call number for
the book that best fits my interviewees
topic.
Since the first letter is
a “N” the book will
be located on the
3rd floor
Once we reached
the 3rd floor, we searched the book
shelves for shelve
with the “N” books
Once we found the book, we went down to
the front desk to check the book out.
All the we had to do was to give the librarian
the book along with our student i.d.
Me: How did you learn the process of checking out a book?
Amberly: One day I needed a book for class so I asked one of the librarians for help and ever since then I knew.
Me: Do you think it was a hard process getting to know how to work the catalog?
Amberly: No, it was actually very simple and I caught on very quick.
Me: Is the catalog beneficial to students?
Amberly: Yes, I think it is very beneficial because it lets students get to know the library better by using technology.
