My Storyboard

Planning - Lucia Puricelli

A mid-shot of a CD player which will start playing the track

An extreme close-up of the performers mouth to start a stop motion sequence.

A close-up of the performer, a step back from the previous shot, we see all of the performers face.

The third shot in the stop motion sequence. It is a mid-shot of the performer and we can now see the location and more mise-en-scene.

This is a different shot that is the start of another stop motion sequence. The performer is sitting at the top of some steps.

This is the second shot in the stop motion sequence. The performer has moved from the top of the bench to the middle.

This is the third shot in the stop motion sequence. The performer has moved from the middle of the steps to the bottom of the steps. All of the stop motion shots will move in time with the music.

This shot is of the first shot of the character of the narrative part of my music video. It will be a long shot/mid-shot so the audience can see the character clearly.

This shot is of a guitar to show the performance of the song. It will be a close up to focus on one instrument.

This will be a shot of the singer performing the song onto the microphone. This will be in a different location to the other performance part.

This will be a long shot of the narrative character which be similar to one previous but she will be in a different position. This will be used to represent a change in time or time passing.

This will be a close up of the drum kit to introduce new instruments and to get close up to the performance part of my video.

This is the start of another stop motion sequence. This is a long shot of a girl to fit with the line shes not as pretty as she thinks she is.

This is the second shot of the stop motion sequence. Its a mid-shot of the same girl.

This is the third shot of the stop motion sequence. It is a close-up of the same girl.

This is a mid-shot/close-up of the artist. I want to capture the weather in this shot because one of the lines of the song is its a lovely sunny day.

This is another shot of the artist but it will be from the side to capture different angles.

This is another close-up of the guitar.

This is the start of a long stop motion sequence that writes out a line of the song. The line it will write is So why are you sat at home. It will be spelt out with magnetic letters on the front of a fridge. It will be a Mid-shot of the fridge so all the letters can be seen at the same time to make it a proper stop motion sequence, the letters will appear to write themselves.

Stop motion sequence continued.

Stop motion sequence continued.

When the stop motion sequence has finished my narrative actor will then enter the shot and start to open the fridge.

This is the next step in opening the fridge. This will be a shot from the side so the viewer can see the fridge being opened.

This shot will be captured by placing the camera inside the fridge to get a view of the actors face. This also adds a variety in the shots I use and make the video more interesting since it looks like the character is reaching towards the camera.

This will be another shot of the performer singing part of the chorus. It will be a mid-shot to match the previous shot.

Stop motion sequence continued.

This is the start of another stop motion sequence. The artist will be sitting to one side on a bench.

This is the second shot of the stop motion sequence. The actor has moved to the middle of the bench.

This is the last shot in the stop motion sequence. The actor has moved from the middle of the bench to the side of the bench.

This is another close-up of the guitar to keep the performance part in the video.

This is a mid-shot of my performer singing into the microphone.

This is back to the narrative with my actor holding a mobile phone. This will be an over the shoulder shot that will zoom in to show the viewer what she is looking at. The text on the phone will match the line of the song but you hide yourself away.

In this shot the camera will rotate clockwise while the performer is lying on the ground.

This shot will be faded in from the previous shot to have a graphic match. This connects the performer to the character in my narrative.

This is the start of another stop motion sequence. It will be a long shot of the performer to one side of the camera.

This is the second shot in the stop motion sequence. This is also a long shot but the performer has moved from one side of the shot to the other. The performer will also move back slightly.

This is the third shot in the stop motion sequence. The performer has moved from the side of the shot to the middle and has also moved further back.

I have added this next shot to contrast from the previous shot. The previous shot was a long/wide shot and this one is an extreme close-up.

This is a shot of the whole band together and is a mid/long shot. This is to show the audience all of the performance aspects of the song.

This is a close-up of either the bass guitar or the electric guitar to develop the previous shot.

This is a close up/mid-shot of the performer singing into a microphone to again develop the previous performance shots.

This is the start of another stop motion sequence. It is a wide/long shot of the performer acting out the lyrics. The word he is acting is angry so I will have him pull and angry face and wave his arms around as if he was shouting at someone. He will be far away from the camera to create depth.

This is the second shot of the stop motion sequence. The word he will be acting out this time is underweight so I will have a sideways shot of him to show the audience how skinny he is. He will have moved nearer to the camera.

This is the third shot in the stop motion sequence. The actor will be portraying the words sketching out so I will have him pulling a funny face and waving his arms around as if hes gone crazy. He has moved closer to the camera.

This is a shot of the performer in a bridge in the outside location. This is a mid-shot and he will be performing part of the song.

This is the start of a shorter stop motion sequence which will consist of only two shots this time. The performer will be standing behind a tree looking out to the camera.

This is the second shot in the stop motion sequence. The performer has moved from behind one tree to another.

This will be a close up of the performer and the camera will rotate around him, similar to previous shots.

This will be a mid-shot that will zoom into a close-up of the narrative character.

This will be another performance part of the music video with a mid shot/close-up of the performer.

This will also be a performance part of my music video. Like some previous shots the performer will be singing into a microphone. This will be a close-up.

This shot will rotate around the narrative characters head as if the camera is circling her. This will be a close-up.

To try and match the previous shot I will make the camera circle the performer in the same way I did with the narrative character in the shot before. This will either be a mid-shot or a close-up.

This is a mid-shot of the narrative character receiving a call from the performer.

This will be a mid-shot of the performer speaking to the narrative character on the phone. It will appear as if he singing through the phone to her asking her the question so why are you sat at home? which is a lyric of the song.

After the phone call the character will decide to go out. In this shot we will see her put her shoes on. This will be a close-up.

This will be a close-up of the character put on and zipping up her coat.

This will be a close up of the door handle which the character will open and walk outside.

This shot is a long shot showing the narrative character going outside and on her way to meet her friends.

This shot is a long shot showing the character meeting up with her friends. The performer will also be in this group of friends. As she sees them she will smile which is a contrast of the blank expression she has kept for the rest of the video.

This is the final shot showing everyone walking away into the distance. They will start from behind the camera and walk forwards so their backs are to the camera. Then I will fade out this shot and that will be the end of my music video.
