How to Create a Graphic Organizer Online

• Decide what you want your graphic organizer to look like• Choose an online site to create your organizer (sites are

bookmarked on your computer, they are also listed on the resource page)

• Follow the steps online it will walk you through the process• Don’t forget the Edit tools will help you to change shapes or

directions for your organizer• Now practice filling it in while online, then you can

download it so that everyone can have a copy in your class

Your Turn: Creating a Graphic Organizer

• Pick a Topic (suggestion look at your new Reading Series and find a topic that will enhance that lesson/theme

• Decide what type of graphic organizer/graphic organization will work best for your lesson

• Two Ways to Create a Graphic Organizer• Internet Sites that will help you with your design• Google Draw (you will need to create a Google account for this if you don’t already have one)

• We are going to make two organizers today using both ways• Create your graphic organizer and save it• Now try another graphic organizer site creating a different graphic

organizer.• Please email me the link(s) to your graphic organizers.
