DESCRIPTION
In a post Web 2.0 world, information can be remixed, mashed and delivered on demand. Data lives all over the web in many forms and media types. In the past, this data has existed in silos that were unable to communicate with each other. All this is changing. Many of the software applications on the web now offer open and accessible APIs, opening the door to outside applications to draw upon their data. Syndication technologies such as RSS can pull data from constantly changing sources. Massive realtime data mining is made possible by tagging. The result is an ability to create highly relevant, personalised and powerful information streams. Welcome to the new web... ready for your brain to start hurting?
