Target audienceMy target audience are young adults aged 16-25 because they are very socially integrated which makes it easier to promote the brand and magazine itself through sites like Instagram and twitter. The use of sites like these to promote the brand will make the brand more known around the world and spread the diversity of culture.
Style and genre• The style of the music magazine will be contemporary and recent, the
genre is mainly going to be hip hop but will have the ability to appeal to people who enjoy many other genres such as rap, pop, r&b and many more.
Issue of the magazine• The magazine will be issued every fortnight so that collectors and
those who show interest in the magazine can be frequently updated.
Cost of the magazine• The magazine will cost £6.99 as it is cost effective to the age of the
target audience and it also allows the magazine to make a profit, also it is a reasonable price to pay considering the magazine is issued every fortnight. The first issue will be at a discounted price of £3.99 just to promote the launch of the magazine.
Appearance and features• My magazine will be glossy like Q magazine to make it more appealing
to its audience and so that it can be easily preserved as a collectables item.• The sections that will feature in the contents of the magazine are
latest music, exclusive interviews, upcoming artists and stories behind artist’s success. It will also cover the latest music and songs that are due to be a hit in the future.
How the magazine will appeal to the target audience• My magazine will appeal to my target audience because it is suitable
for their age range and will easily meet their preferences in terms of the genre of the music or magazine. It will also appeal to them as there will be information about the latest concerts and festivals that they may show interest in. It will tell them most of what they want to know and when the event/release will take place.
Production company• For my magazine I will use Bauer Media because its worldwide media
empire offering over 300 magazines in 15 countries, as well as online, TV and radio stations meaning the magazine will be advertised more worldwide.
