THE STORY OF THE MAN; WHOM LEGEND

TURNED INTO A GOD…

1900BC. IN WHAT MODERN INDIANS MISTAKENLY

CALL THE INDUS VALLEY CIVILISATION. THE

INHABITANTS OF THAT PERIOD CALLED IT THE

LAND OF MELUHA – A PLACE NEAR PERFECT

PRIMARY RIVER, THE REVERED SARASWATI, IS

SLOWLY DRYING TO EXTINCTION. THEY ALSO

FACE DEVASTING TERRORIST ATTACKS FROM

THE EAST, THE LAND OF THE CHANDRAVANSHIS.

TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE THE

CHANDRAVANSHIS APPEARS TO HAVE ALLIED

WITH THE NAGAS, AN OSTRACISED AND

SINISTER RACE OF DEFORMED HUMANS WITH

ASTONISHING MARTIAL SKILLS…

THE ONLY HOPE FOR THE SURYAVANSHIS IS AN

ANCIENT LEGEND:

‘WHEN THE EVIL REACHES EPIC PROPORTIONS,

WHEN ALL SEEMS LOST, WHEN IT APPEASRS

THAT YOUR ENEMIES HAVE TRIUMPHED, A HERO

WILL EMERGE…’

IS THE ROUGH-HEWN TIBATAN IMMGRANT

SHIVA, REALLY THAT HERO??

AND DOES HE WANT TO BE THAT HERO AT ALL??

DRWN SUDDENLY TO HIS DESTINY, BY DUTY AS

WELL AS BY LOVE, WILL SHIVA LEAD THE

SURYAVANSHI VENGEANCE AND DESTROY THE

EVIL??

THIS IS THE FIRST TRIOLOGY OF SHIVA, THE

SIMPLE MAN WHOSE KARMA RECAST HIM AS

OUR MAHADEV, THE GOD OF GODS…..

SUMMARY

Is a glowing stone more valuable than wisdom? Is truth

more precious than wealth? Answers to such questions

came easily to Aushadha Kumar, a Bodhisattva at the

court of King Vaideha. A previous incarnation of the

wise and compassionate Gautama Buddha, the tale of his

life admits adversity and courtly rivalry defines the

Buddhist ideal of right thinking and right living. This

priceless gem from the Jataka fables teaches even as it

entertains.

Online Safety Rules for Children

1. I will not give out personal information such as my address, telephone number, parent’s work address/telephone number, or the name and location of my school without my parents’ permission.

2. I will tell my parents right away if I come across any information that makes me feel uncomfortable.

3. I will never agree to get together with someone I “meet” online without first checking with my parents. If my parents agree to the meeting, I will be sure that it is in a public place and bring my mother or father along.

4. I will never send a person my picture or anything else without first checking with my parent. 5. I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way makes me feel uncomfortable. It is not my fault if I get a message like that. If I do, I will tell my parents right away so that they can contact the online service. 6. I will talk with my parents so that we can set up rules for going online. We will decide upon the time of the day that I can be online, the length of time I can be online and appropriate areas for me to visit. I will not access other areas or break these rules without their permission.
