“Par3cipa3ng  with  others  to  make  sense  of  new  ideas.”  -‐  Marcia  Connor    “Learning  is  at  the  core  of  human  existence  and  …  is  fundamentally  a  social  phenomenon.  It  is  social  because  our  human  nature  is  social,  not  just  because  (or  when)  we  interact  with  others  or  use  certain  tools.”  –  E3enne  &  Beverly  Wenger-‐Trayner    “Social  learning  is  structureless,  the  opposite  of  formal  learning.  Social  transcends  the  tradi3onal  organiza3onal  boundaries  of  departments  and  divisions.”  –  Mark  Britz

Social  Learning  Defined

Networked  learning  is  a  process  of  developing  and  maintaining  connec3ons  with  people  and  informa3on,  and  communica3ng  in  such  a  way  so  as  to  support  one  another's  learning.  The  central  term  in  this  defini3on  is  connec3ons.  (Wikipedia)
