Gavin Hood (Director) stated that he “..wanted to transport our audience into a World of radical contrasts” in terms of establishing the ‘collision’ of ‘wealth and poverty’.

Task 1) –

‘Collision’ of ‘wealth and poverty’.

Using the handout you have been provided, YOU MUST establish HOW Gavin Hood’s ideology is represented in this short sequence from the text.

YOU SHOULD consider HOW the use of the eyeline match between Tsotsi and the skyline helps to construct this ideology to the spectator.
