Measuring Success

• Kno.e.sis already recognized as World Class (not only best in Ohio but also among the top in world) which distinguishes in– Exceptional quality and quality of its PhD program:

exceptional outcomes for graduates: 30-50% above industry average (new MS grad compensation up to $120K, new PhD compensation $130K to over $200K)

– Exceptional students apply to our CSE program specifically seeking to join Kno.e.sis, and have to turn down many highly qualified applicants due to limited funding, faculty bandwidth (and challenges presented earlier)

– Exceptional faculty candidates apply

Page 19: Kno.e.sis Review: late 2012 to mid 2013

Measuring Success

• Exceptional faculty achievement• more faculty in the center received new funding,

improving the ability of junior faculty in enhancing their research portfolio

• Successful multidisciplinary work across 3 colleges (CECS, Medicine, Science & Math) with rapidly increasing number of proposals for multidisciplinary research and sustained success

• (Significantly) exceeded all measure in COE app (e.g., 150%+ of funds/faculty, student success, number of graduates in program and completed) except faculty growth
