1) Highlighting (Selecting) a whole text.

a) Click the curser in the box.b) Press ctrl A at the same time.

2) Copying the whole or part of a text.

a)Highlight text as above or select apiece of the text.b)Press ctrl C

3) Pasting the copied whole or part of a text.

a)Set curser where you want text to be.b)Press ctrl V

4) Deleting or cutting a piece of text after copied.

a)Highlight the text.b)Press ctrl X

5) Making a piece of text bold.

a)Highlight the text.b)Press ctrl B 2

7) Making text smaller or larger to fit into a space.

a)Highlight text or if in a text box press ctrl A and all the text will be highlighted.b)Hold down the ctrl key and press either one of the bracket buttons. These are generally to the right of the P button.c)The left one is for smaller and the right one is for larger.d)This works in both Word and Power point.

8) Change the case of a text.

a)Highlight the text to be changed.b)Hold down the shift key and press F3.c)There are 3 options for each time you press the F3 key. The first will place a capital at the beginning, second will change to all capitals and the third will change to all lower case letters.

6) Making a piece of text underlined.

a)Highlight the text.b)Press ctrl U

10) Duplicating Photos, pictures etc. = ctrl D

Click on the picture etc, hold down the ctrl key and press the D key as many times as you wish!This is also great for creating cool borders.

9) Duplicating Text.

Click on the outer part of the text box, hold down the ctrl key and press the D key as many times as you wish! Now you have lots over lapping. Click on the outer of one using the left button of the mouse and move to where you want it.This is great for duplicating a letter to go home or activities for a reading group. No more resizing and wasting paper on the photo copier.

11) Aligning a text and pictures.

a)Click on the outer part of the text box.b)Locate the 4 arrows at the bottom of the key board.c)Press for whatever direction you want the text to go.

12) Entering the date into a text, page numbers into a piece of text .

a)Place cursor where you want the date to appear.b)Press Alt + Shift and Dc)A screen like this will appear.

d) Click on the format you want and press apply or apply to all.

13) Deleting something that you haven’t wanted to.

a)Don’t panick and don’t touch anything else.b)Locate the undo and redo button that looks like a curly arrow.

c)The left one is the undo and the right one is the redo.d)Alternatively you can press ctrl + Z

15) Printing a document .

a) Press ctrl + P

toolbar.

16) Adding new rows to a table.

a)Once you have insert your table and you have run out of rows. Simply click in the very last right hand box.b)Now press the tab button and another row will appear.

17) Merging cells.

a)Highlight the cells you want to merge (make into one box)b)On the mouse use the right button and scroll down to merge cell and click.

Extras if time.Grouping Making a collage and saving as a picture.Selecting photos to print. Ctrl on 1st photo the press shift on the last photo. Photos will be selected in that range.
