Where and For Whom Did I Work?

The City of Fort Worth’s Planning & Development Department, located at City Hall.

Supervisor: Mr. Randy Hutcheson. Worked specifically for the Preservation &

Design division.

How Did I Get Hired?

Spoke with Mr. Dan Boren during the 2011 Texas APA conference.

He put me in touch with Mrs. Dana Burghdoff.

She put me in touch with Mr. Hutcheson. I was hired after several email chats and

an in-person interview.

What Did I Do?

Direct observation of several places in the Downtown area.

Created the PowerPoint presentations used at the Historical & Cultural Landmarks Commission meetings.

Read 2 books by William Whyte. Learned more about Hitsoric Fort Worth

through site visits and tours.

How Historic Preservation specifically works in Fort Worth.

New vocabulary common among planners and architects.
