INNOVATION GROUPS● The groups have been organised

according to the answers given on the technology audit completed at the end of last year.

● They are not necessarily ‘ability’ based; in some cases groups have been organised by areas of interest, or specifically identified skills gaps.

INNOVATION GROUPS● The feedback in the past has often been

that technology showcases give lots of good ideas, but then many of you struggle to find the time to practise the skills, or to make full use of the end product.

● The intention with these groups is that you will complete the full process involved, including creating and sharing the finished product.

INNOVATION GROUPS● You will also be given a chance to discuss

how the app or strategy could be used in your lessons.

● You will also be asked to commit to completing a specific technology task before the next meeting, and to bring your evidence as a Teachmeet.

Tonight we will look at two

methods of giving video feedback,

one using a laptop and one using an

iPad

Google calendar

●Screencast-o-matic will record everything on your computer screen

●This includes the internet, slideshows, documents etc.

●It also automatically highlights the cursor movements

●This can include the webcam if you like

●It also includes the microphone

●The recording is saved as a video file

●it works on laptops (including Macs) and PCs, though you may have to attach a separate microphone and webcam to a PC

●The program is on all school computers (laptops and PCs)

●It can be downloaded and installed free from http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/

Create a QR code to share with students

●Explain Everything is an interactive screencasting whiteboard iPad app.

●It can be used to annotate pictures, documents and slideshows.

●You can access the Google Drive directly and run powerpoints through the app

●You can also record the whiteboard directly, including sound

●The app creates a video file, that can be shared in the same way as the screencasting video
