What is the Holocaust?

Why Jews?

Jews were targeted in the Holocaust because Hitler blamed them for all the problems of the world. Like Germanys loss in

World War II. Hitler told the Germans that they could have won if it wasn't for the Jews “stabbing” them in the back.

Concentration Camps

Concentration Camps are a small place for

large amounts of people (Jews) for forced labor.

That the nazis would run.

Girl Jews

Most of the girl jews before they died were

forced to take all of their clothing off and lay down on the ground and all the

nazis would rape everyone of them.

Jewish Star

The jews would have to put this star on all of their

clothing to indicate that they are a jew.

Clothing

When the jews got caught they would have a certain amount of time to collect some of their belongings and

bring it with them. But whatever they took with them would be taken away from them. Either stolen by other jews or by the Nazis.

Tattoo

When the jews got sent to the concentration camps they got tattoos of a number so people would know

that they are a jew and where they belong. the concentration camps had lists of all the jews in that camp and they would make sure all of Jews they

captured were still there.

Transportation

When the jews got caught they would get thrown into a train cart with about 20 people also in that same cart.

Hunger

The jews would only get to eat on certain times. Sometimes they didn't eat at all. They would go days, weeks, or months without food at a time.

Outfits

Jews would sometimes have an outfit to wear. and that was the only clothing they got. and

it was all the same.

Hard Labor

Jews would constantly be working/moving. They only got a break once a day, to go to bed. But they were up early the

next morning.

Sleeping

For sleeping jews would get bunks like this. Or they

would have to sleep on the floor. Depending on what concentration camp they

were at.

When and how did the holocaust end?

The Holocaust ended a little while after Hitler committed

suicide in April 1945. Tons of Natizs committed suicide

because the didn't want to get caught and punished for their part in the Holocaust.

And from most of the Natizs committing suicide and the others getting caught the

Holocaust ended.
