One of our most important tasks is building a Culture of

Resistance.

Cultures of Resistance are important for many reasons - here are a few:

• They support radical views that are unpopular in the general culture

• They aid in training and development of resistors

• They lead to the creation of revolutionary and community organizations

• They allow people with different levels of engagement in political struggle to support a movement

• They create space for dialogue on important subjects

• They serve as the fertile soil from which effective resistance movements grow.

What's very interesting about our (current cultural) confusion about activists ...... is that we flock to movies full of s/heros who are passionate fighters for justice, whom we admire and cheer on screen ... but then in our own real life we don't recognize them, mis-understand them or even fight / damage them.

• passionately care for Life, and justice, • are very clear about right & wrong • & who the enemy is, • they display great intelligence & creativity in choosing effective strategies, •as well as enormous courage in doing whatever needs to be done to stop the oppressors from destroying more of what they love. • Although they blow up plenty of things & even kill people on the way, it is very clear that

they are driven by love, not hate.

& apart from all the s/hero films.. we have some useful popular mythologies... eg.

'Indigo Adults' are all around usalso known as the

'Imaginal Cells' of the new world

Fighting for Justice REQUIRES Coherence

A paradigm changes when the

contradictions become too great
