Postgraduate Midwifery courses

> Graduate Diploma in Midwifery> for registered nurses wishing to become registered midwives

> 12-14 months

> Master of Midwifery> for registered midwives furthering their study

> 3 years part-time or 1.5 years full time from 2012

Graduate Diploma in MidwiferyYou now need to apply for concurrent employment as a student midwife before you can apply for the course.

Applications1. Apply to UTS for Autumn semester 2012

> Submit an application tonight at the Student Centre (open until 8pm) if you have all the necessary documentation (free of charge)

>Online through Universities Admissions Centre – www.uac.edu.au ($52 application fee)

>Should you fulfill academic requirements for entry into the course you will receive a conditional letter of offer from UTS

>Concurrent employment as a student midwife is a requirement for entry to Graduate Diploma in Midwifery

>The employment application process is run by NSW Health and is entirely independent of the university application process

>UTS will receive notification of employment outcomes in late October 2011 and will advise you accordingly by mail regarding your eligibility for an official offer into the course at that time.
