Audience: The summary is written for educators outside of your cluster. Would a stranger understand it? Is the language suitable for people outside of ICTPD?

Discoverability & Usability: Educators need to be able to find your summary through appropriate title and tags to use discuss, share & disseminate

More on Tagging: One controlled tag: ‘reflective summary’. Suggested additional user generated tags: school type, specific aspects of the curriculum (eg learning areas, KCs, Inquiry, pedagogy), focus of one of the national cluster goal, cluster type, gender, culture, ethnicity, year level

Visibility: The summary (resource) should be public but you control the links or visibility to supporting evidence & reflection. During editing and reviewing phase set visibility to Group only.

Group resource: remember to upload it as a cluster group resource, not a personal resource from a user, or a page or a file.

Your Profile: The VLN is a social network, let people know about you by adding an image & filling out your profile.

Group Description: Your summary is a group (cluster) resource so ensure people know who you are, where you are from with a full group description.

Window into your cluster: This is one of the public faces of your cluster’s work and achievements, centralised and accessible alongside other cluster stories.

Be active: Comment on other cluster reflections. Get principals involved so they can “participate and/or contribute to the Ministry’s e-learning web presence”

Group resources: Keep track of newly added resources from clusters by:

• adding the Resources widget to your VLN dashboard• going to Tools→Resources→All site resources and using the

links and tag cloud
