• muttering voices – this shows a well known character as they are being talked about – this is a non diegetic sound as the character cant hear everything going on like the audience can

• Extreme close up of eye watching the clouds – this shows that the weather maybe important to the event that is about to take place

• Pan up to Main characters sat in cars – this shows the cars and quickly establishes that this is a action adventure racing movie

• Narrative – this is a voice over describing the event – this sets the scene for the audience – this is a non diegetic sound

• Women are surrounding the main characters in the car, this is very archetypal as it shows that the women are only interested in the men

• The characters outfits symbolise there roles this makes it easy for the audience to understand what there aims are and who they are.

• Reving engines on the grid – this shows clearly what genre the film is, this is typical of an action adventure racing film

• Talking about previous races in the narrative – this shows the competitiveness between the characters this rivalry is common of a film of this genre – it is all about Lauda Vs Hunt

• There are a lot of establishing shots of the track this sets the scene for the film showing what it is about and what to expect
