Different Forms Of T.V Adverts

RealismRealism advert is where the advert is promoting something which is real life, and in society of the world. Realism adverts are used to show the audience how can a narrative is to used to promote a message which is real life.

One advert which has used realism as a main feature to promote the product is the iPhone 4s advert. This advert is promoting the new iPhone which is effective as when the advert was released it was showing the audience the features of the phone which is persuading them to buy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SD7sZdAaS2M

This advert has used realism by getting ordinary people from different ages and backgrounds which all use the same phone to help them with there everyday life. This advert has a duration for 30 seconds and is promoting the audience to buy the product.

Anti- RealismAnti- realism is the opposite of realism. It is when adverts have been shown with cartoons or fantasy, hence that it is not real. This is usually things which are very unrealistic or has unreal themes which is shown during the advert.

This advert is a form anti realism as it has a talking bear who is singing to the man about Muller rice. This is effective as people such as children may find this particular advert funny and makes it more catching as a advert overall. It makes the product more popular as people will remember the talking bear.

AnimationAnimation adverts are where they have used characters which are not real and have used a cartoon version as the whole advert is animated. This is similar to anti realism adverts but animated adverts appeal more to the younger audience.

This advert is selling Nike football as a whole which is effective as it attracts younger people such as children and teenagers to buy the boots. Although this advert is 5 minutes long there is a clear narrative of the advert and will attract people who have a passion for football.

Documentary StyleDocumentary style is another form or advertising as it is where an advert is showing the audience real locations and real companies which have produce an advert to improve their company or to show the audience how they have improved.

Series Series adverts are where adverts have a continuous amount of adverts which have the same storyline which have continued throughout advertising.

An example of an series advert is the Meerkat adverts which have had many different adverts which have all been promoting car insurance which have used Meerkat to do this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8s_KaiWoHg

This car insurance adverts have been able to have a range of different adverts which have even had a baby Meerkat which have been recently been a factor of advertising the car insurance.

Stand Alone (One Off Ad)

Stand alone advert are where there is only one type of advert which has promoted this product. These types of adverts does not be advertising another company or relates to another story or narrative.

This advert is showing the audience what happens to children when they get hit by a car. The advert is showing the impact in slow motion.

Talking Heads

Talking head is a form of advertising where by people talk about the product in which they are promoting and shows the product in a positive light.

An example of a talking head advert is the Colgate adverts whereby they used models talking the product.

This is effective as the advert shows the people are talking about the product and is promoting the product by saying how good the product is.
