Lesbian vampire killers• 1- smoky scene, mysterious. Establishing shot provides connotations of what

the film may be about.• 2- spooky medium shot of a man using which craft, vials in background

them from further on in the film which a block colour background, the sketchy writing follows the rest of the titles, but as they are charaters name they are only white.

safe• 1- establishing shot, ms of train station that shows the protagionist, which is a little girl.

Introducing the main character without seeing her face adds a sense of mystery and ambiguity.

• 2- This screenshot shows the main title being in a bold captial writing. The colours being black and white could suggest the idea of crime.

• 3- The close up a man picking up the little girl and still without the protagionist face continues to add a sense of mystery.

• 4- close up of face, grey hair shows he is old and wise. He is sitting behind a desk we get a stereotype of a mafia boss.

• 5- he has lots of tattoos on his fingers, this shows he is in a gang and a bad character. • 6- In this close up shot you can see only half of the protagionist’s face which continues to add

to the sense of mystery. Also seeing maths on the board gvies the audience the first clue that she is good with numbers. Also the titles show a event that happened in the past giving to audience some more knowledge and background information about the main girl character.

• 7- In the long shot we can see the little girl in class with her peers and it also shows the height difference her and her teacher showing that he is older and clearly a authority figure. However, with her speech it is clear that she is very clever and clearly a genius in maths and therefore showing again about her ability.

• 8- This medium shot of the ‘hero’ shows him a fit state of health and suggesting that he is a strong character.

‘bad guy’ but also authoritative figure as well, even more than the doctor. • 6- It is the first suggested of the genre which is comedy• 7- the long establishing shot where the study is taking place reminds the audience that they

are underground. • 8- in this shot we can again seeing a character is smoking a joint and the title is written in a

bubbly and yellow font. The yellow has common connations of happiness which is a side effect of the drug they are taking so this adds to the genre of comedy. We have also gone to colour suggesting this is present day.
