I. Introduction

In our society teachers are always a boon. Teachers attempt to

create a well-rounded personality through their intelligence, patience

and wisdom. Through their intelligence, patience and wisdom.

Students make a difference in their lives through teachers. The biggest

reward of teaching was inspiring students from their apathy and

watching their curiosity grow. In my personal philosophy of teaching, I

believe that it is important to be consciously aware of the theory

behind what I’m going teach as well as the way that how I teach. It is

very empowering for me to understand the theories associated with

my field and to be able to reflect those theories in my teaching

approach someday. I begin with the belief that all of my students come

into the classroom with pre-existing knowledge that contributes to the

learning process. I will make an attempt to discover and exploit this

knowledge from the outset by surveying my students’ scientific

knowledge. Then I will encourage my students to capitalize on their

strengths and experiences in order to develop their scientific abilities.

Understand the social functions of language Not only is it important for

me to teach my students the concepts of biology, it is also very

important for me to instruct my students in the proper use of the

scientific language. Therefore, I will devote time in discussing the

answers to different types of questions based on the past papers.

Regularly I will have my students engage in peer feedback, with slight

variation of the activity each time. In pairs or in groups, students read

peer answers, provide either written or verbal feedback, and discuss

the answers for that particular concept. Students seem to enjoy and

benefit tremendously from this activity. Rapport is an important aspect

of classroom pedagogy that I believe has more to do with people-

management skills than to teaching.

II. Rationale

To identify and describe the teachers’ activity that

enrich the learners multiple intelligence.

Be able to identify the lesson objectives, teaching

activities, instructional materials, and assessment

tools used by the teacher in such activities.

Be able to identify the principles in teaching learning

activities and the instructional materials used by the

teacher in selected subjects.

A. My Cooperating School

Saint Vincent de Paul was my cooperating school. This is the most

cooperative school when we used to ask for approval. The school was

located in Bgry. Maligaya Park, Quezon City. The school have a good

location because the place was peaceful where the student can

concentrate their studies.

Mrs. Teresa Casas is discussing the lesson for the day. The lesson was

about the President of the Philippines. As I observed the class she

using pictures as her visual aids and I really feel that she is kind of

tense maybe because of our presence. From time to time she also

asking questions to the student but most of the time she is the one

who feed more information about the lesson. I found her class more

teacher-centered approach. The students are behave and also

attentive during the discussion and they are all participating in class.

For me, even though she is using teacher-centered approach the

learning process of the class of Ma’am Casas is also effective as I saw

how the students response during that time.

III. Reflection/Conclusion

Page 11: Fieldstudy 2,5 & 6 porfolio

Learning they say is hard so as to teaching. To learn, one must

get to know the different things, from simple ideas to more complex.

Also, in teaching, many things are to be learned not only by the

students but also to the part of the teacher.  In order a teacher to

learn, he/she must be effective and   well versed to the different

methods or strategies he/she will use to make his teaching more

innovative. Effective teaching is said to be achieved if a student has

learned something from what the teacher taught.

In these field studies, I have found out that real teaching can

be seen when you are in the location where the teaching and learning

takes place. I believe that a teacher can be developed if he sees the

reality of teaching. And that's what I've experienced during my Field

Study  journey.

I. Introduction

To enhance and improve the pupils progress schools

developing their assessment of pupils. By investing in assessment,

schools can ensure that learning is meaningful for all pupils, teaching

is effective and attainment outcomes are improved.

Assessment is an integral part of instruction, as it determines

whether or not the goals of education are being met. Assessment

affects decisions about grades, placement, advancement, instructional

needs, curriculum, and, in some cases, funding. Assessment inspire us

to ask these hard questions: "Are we teaching what we think we are

teaching?" "Are students learning what they are supposed to be

learning?" "Is there a way to teach the subject better, thereby

promoting better learning?" Today's students need to know not only

the basic reading and arithmetic skills, but also skills that will allow

them to face a world that is continually changing. They must be able to

think critically, to analyze, and to make inferences. Changes in the

skills base and knowledge our students need require new learning

goals; these new learning goals change the relationship between

assessment and instruction. Teachers need to take an active role in

making decisions about the purpose of assessment and the content

that is being assessed.

Page 15: Fieldstudy 2,5 & 6 porfolio

II. Rationale

Be able to competent in identifying and naming different

assessment and methods use in the classroom.

Be able to be adept in designing, using and interpreting

results and objective tests.

Be able to be informed on the principles of authentic

assessment and its usefulness in the classroom.

Be able to be skillful in designing process-oriented

performance assessment.

she was also the principal of Maranatha Christian Academy. She is

very nice and cooperating when we conducted our field study. She

believed that being a global teacher you must be spiritual, morally and

physically matured. At the same time teacher should well equipped

with the knowledge and skills to be efficient and effective.

the overall purpose of the school, statement comprises a central part

message that the school original purpose, the values that the school

stands for and the reason for the school continued existence. It

summarized general principles and aspiration to the school for

continuing their goals for the education of the new generation.

Page 20: Fieldstudy 2,5 & 6 porfolio

III. Reflection/Conclusion

"To Teach is to love the children"  This is actually true in the

teaching field. It is a fact that when a teacher firsts understands his

learners, the learning is achieved with harmony. The teaching and

learning process should always be based on the learners' interest.

Teachers must give appropriate lessons that fit to the capabilities and

likes of his learners. If in some instances where students have

difficulties in learning for they have learning disabilities like dyslexia,

the role of the teacher is to first change his strategies in teaching and

make sure that he will give the special attention they needed.

The world of teaching doesn't only end at school.  It doesn't

only end when the school year ends or when the teacher finishers the

chapters he taught from the book to his students. It also doesn't end

when your pen's ink becomes empty. To learn is to learn around.

therefore, learning is everywhere and everywhere we learn different

things from the simplest to more complex of learning.

Simultaneously, as the learning takes place, of course we also have

to remember that everything that we learn from the past to the

present, these things are such valuable for these teach us how to

become new and productive individuals. We are inspired of the lessons

we took and definitely, these will last forever in n our memory.

And for us we should always remember that we must be able to

influence the minds of many to become good and that we should be

careful in touching the lives of people we once be part with.

I. Introduction

In Becoming a teachers, teachers hold the highest regard for

students after their parents. All cultures and religions preach that

students are supposed to respect their teachers and should try to learn

from them not only what's there in the academic curriculum but also

the values of life. Teachers have an important role in building the

personality of students and the relationship they develop with them

determines the student's academic and personal growth.

Teachers bear the heavy responsibility of molding the minds of

our nation's most precious resource, its children. The road to becoming

a teacher is a long one, involving post-high school education, people

skills, and a desire to change lives. These traits, when accompanied by

experience and good techniques, form the foundation for an effective,

life-altering educator.

Before anything else, teachers must have a desire to impact the lives

of their students. Some teachers teach because they want to help

children learn and grow and would like to make a contribution to

society. Others have an intellectual fascination with a certain subject

(such as math or history), have been inspired by one of their own

teachers, or feel they have a sense of commitment to their country.

One thing is certain, teachers that go into the profession for selfish

reasons will find it hard to commit to their career. The salary for a

teacher is not likely to make a person rich, so their motives must be

based on helping improve the minds of future generation.

Everyone has progressed to where they are in life because they

had a teacher. A teacher is defined as someone who gives instruction

and communicates skills. Our children are our future, and they need to

be prepared for the future or they will not be successful in the working

Page 24: Fieldstudy 2,5 & 6 porfolio

world. Teaching makes a difference in them, because it gives them

tools to help them be successful in the future.

The job of a teacher means different things to different people.

For some, a teacher is simply a person who informs students about

"necessary information" like math formulas, historical facts, or literary

works. Yet for others, and for me, teachers are much more. They give

their students not only their knowledge, but also their passion. They

get involved in the lives of their students. They make their students

feel good about themselves and they help the youth realize and fulfill

their dreams.

II. Rationale

Be able to competent in establishing routines and

procedures to make the physical environment conducive

learning.

Be able to competent in identifying possible linkages

between the school and the community particularly those

that will help attain curricular goals.

Be able to gain competence in developing yourself become

a global teacher.

Be able to manifest a better understanding of the right,

duties, and responsibilities of a professional teachers and

how to these impact you as a future teacher.

society.

IV. Reflections/Conclusion

Through out my experience in my field study I learned so much

that I really treasured because it is indeed important to a future

teacher like me. I know this experience will really help me to become

effective to the profession that I’ve chosen. Upon observing in the

class where my group gathered our field study I learned that a teacher

student relationship could be developed by encouraging a learning

environment where the student feels free to ask whatever he wants to

and the teacher responds in a manner which is understandable by the

student. Therefore it would not be wrong to say that the building block

of a strong teacher student relationship is effective communication.

The level of respect that exists between the two also has a vital role to

play in developing a positive teacher student relationship. A major

hindrance to the strengthening of their relationship is the different

categories of students in a class. Some of the students are hard

working and come to the class to learn but there are others who are

aggressive in nature and find it difficult to concentrate on what is

going on in the class.

Page 28: Fieldstudy 2,5 & 6 porfolio

They continuously distract others and also spoil the learning

environment of the class. In order to overcome this hindrance the

teachers need to be extremely patient. They should maintain a

balance between leniency and strictness as excess of any of the two

could cause a total chaos. It is the teacher's responsibility to monitor

every student individually so that their progress could be monitored

and attention can be divided between students accordingly.

A teacher-student relationship evolves with time. When in

primary school the teacher usually acts as a mother for students and

guides them about every little thing. In secondary and post secondary

school the approach of teachers becomes more professional. They are

more concerned about completing the course rather than teaching

students the true value of life. This is where most teacher student

relationships suffer. A teacher transforms from being a teacher to an

instructor who has the sole responsibility of teaching students what's

there in the course books and nothing beyond that. For strong student

teacher relationships it is essential that teachers understand that

students in a class come from different cultural and social

backgrounds.

This increases the need for teachers to modify their behavior

according to each students needs. In this way the teacher would be

able to develop a level of understanding with every student and the

students would feel they are important which would boost their self

esteem. This would also reflect in their grades and overall behavior.

The overall size of the class is also vital in determining how effective a

student teacher relationship could be. The larger the class size the

more difficult it would be for teachers to provide individual attention to

students so school administrations should make sure that the class

size is kept small which would allow a much better learning

environment for teacher student relationship to flourish.

Page 29: Fieldstudy 2,5 & 6 porfolio

With the growing competition in society it is essential that

people improve their relationships with each other. Amongst these

relationships, a student teacher relationship is of utmost importance

which needs to be looked after properly so that young children could

grow up to become educated and responsible citizens of the society.

Teacher Prayer

Your precious children.Grant them abundant resources to do their job,

intelligence, wisdom, sensitivity, kindness, and the material things that make it possible

to turn some of these tender green plantsinto the strong, stable trees that will lead our nation,to transform some of these buds into brilliant flowers

that will bring light, color and happinessto all who encounter them,

and to give every one of them the toolsto be creative, and productive and to develop

their own kind of success in the world.Lord, wrap Your loving arms around these teachers

Maranatha School Academy principals’ said that teacher in

learning need to seek the understanding of teacher. She said that

most of the times their teachers always used student-centered

approach. They must assure that their school is conducive in learning.

They always set a humane discipline to all students as well as to the

faculty. They also have a community service such as cleaning the

surroundings outside of the school since the school is located in the

urban area of Novaliches.

They also used deferent assessment tools in assessing the

progress of every student they have such as oral and written

examination, group activities, thesis defense, observation and

reporting. She always encourages their teachers to use visual aids

during class discussion. As much as possible they integrate the use of

technology in their classes. Mrs. Nieves said that in imparting

knowledge to their students they believe the principle of learning by

doing of John Dewy. Because she believed that each child was active,

inquisitive and wanted to explore and education should also equip

students to take a full and active part in shaping their future society.
