• Make notes during lectures and seminars.• Work hard during class-time: stay focused on the task at

hand & don’t get distracted.• Look over your notes at home and add to them while its

fresh in your mind.• Start your assignment as soon as you get it; don’t leave it

till later.• If you get stuck or you’re unsure, ask! Ask me, ask each

other. Everyone needs a helping hand at one time or another.

Next weekWe will start the theory part of this assignment, looking at the different things we expect to see in different types of factual programme.

You will be given your brief so you can see exactly what the theory report will cover and we will work through these different points week on week.

Learning about factual programming is interesting; it is the biggest part of the UK’s TV industry and many of you will end up working in it.

For today though….• Team Morgan: get prepared and get in the studio.

• Everyone else spend the morning gathering together your planning for your TV show (proposal, production schedule & milestones, budget etc…) and hand this in to moodle

• When this is done spend some more time working on your research for your factual programme. This is due in.
