WEAKNESSESOverloaded curricula which does not allow students and teachers too much time for extracurricular activities;Very poor resources (mainly coming from parents and teachers) for such events;Lack of space at the school level to develop extracurricular programmes, contests, hold presentations, display final products.
OPPORTUNITIES Applying for more EU funded programmesInternships for students at colleges and business firms in the European Union – 10th and 11th graders“School Differently” week – new government programme starting this school year;Rewarding scheme for both teachers and students who develop such activities.
Awarding material gratifications (diplomas, objects, financial reward) in a festive setting with the support of occasional or seasonal sponsors, for example, the annual event“The Excellence Ball”.
THREATS40% of our students continue their studies abroad and very few of them decide to come back to Romania afterwards;Very low teachers’ salaries – lack of motivation to pursue a career in this field.
We are there to meet our students’
needs and to prepare them for the future.
