• "Record" means any document or othersource of information compiled, recorded orstored in written form or on film, or byelectronic process, or in any other manner.

Recording in Social Group Work
• The Social Work Dictionary (1995) defines “recording”as the process of putting in writing and keeping on filerelevant information about the client system; theproblem; the prognosis; the progress of treatment;the social, economic, and health factors contributingto the situation and the procedures for termination .
• The social work record should also emphasize the strengths client’s system and solutions for change. The dictionary acknowledges that there are many types of social work recording and the type used may depend upon factors such as agency requirements, the social worker’s theoretical base, style.

Importance of Recording Records helps the group worker to understand the group. Provide evidences of growth and change in the members
and in the group worker himself . Recording help the worker to do more effective job with his
groups . Through records the worker can see merging and changing
of interests of individual members . Through records the worker can see the development of
skills and social attitudes of members . Through records the worker gains knowledge of special
problems in the group. Records of the source of future planning. Records are the source of information for other workers .

Introduction
• Evaluation means appraising or judging the worth and effectiveness of the process/activities carried out by the group in order to meet the objectives of the group. It is essentially the study and review of what was carried out in the past. According to Trecker “Evaluation is that part of social group work in which the worker attempts to measure the quality of group’s experience in relation to the objectives and function of the agency.

Important of Evaluation
• The Making of Judgement about the Number or Value of something assessment in Group. Evaluation is Systematic Determination of a subject using criteria programme officers or project or initiative assets any aim, concept, to help decision making or achieve aim and objective of group. Evaluation is Used in subject of Human Enterprise, Arts, NGO, Health care and Human Service.

individual’s objectives and individual personality development. Therefore, it is essential for a worker to evaluate the effects and growth of group as a whole. The group worker evaluates the group organization, a social responsibility fulfilled by the group, maturity that has achieved, skill fullness, and expertness has developed, the techniques of problem solving have seen learned and mutual understanding and cooperation have developed among group members.
