The first crops of wine took place in the Age of Bronze. The vineyards have been extended thanks to their adaptive features, nowadays grapes are the most collected fruit in the world.

Produces high quality wine and oil from local crops. Its famous wines are: Sinols and Empordàlia

The Vinyeta is another winerie of growing popularity. It produces good quality olive oil and wine. Its famous wines are: Heus, Sols and Llavors.

The harvesting is made in small boxes of 12 kg. The grapes reach the winery intact and healthy. Its famous wine are: Cartasieus and Satirs.

‘’Suquet de peix’’: has its roots in the fishing villages on the Catalan coast, where fishermen, once the job was finished, cooked a simple meal that used the fish that had been damaged during the day's catch. Ingredients:

Elaboration: first fry the onion, the pepper and the tomatoes. Once you have it fried put the fish stock on it. Then boil it a few minutes and add the potatoes sliced. Then salt the fish. Once the potatoes are quite done, add the fish . Let it cook and finally put the “picada” and salt.

2 pieces of fish ½ litter of fish stock

1 onion Pepper

1 or 2 tomatoes 2 potatoes

“Torrades amb escalivada i anxoves”

Ingredients:

Elaboration:

First we toast the bread, then we put cooked eggplant and red pepper strips and some anchovies over the bread. Finally we add a dash of olive oil.

It promotes the apples, apple juice and apple cake.

It promotes the virgin olive oil and the olives.

It promotes the anchovy from l’Escala

The children make apple cakes, apple draws, play games and they ride horses. People sell different types of food, apples and apple juice.

People sell different virgin oil olives of Catalonia. They sell crafts and some olives.

The fishermen sell more anchovies and different types o fish. It is a very popular event in the area and it attracts a lot of people every year.

People eat chestnuts, they sell different products made out of chestnut: chairs, toys and decoration items.

People sell ‘bunyols’, make ‘bunyols’ in some workshops and they participate in different contests.

The fishermen and professionals sell different types of prawns from Palamós.. Different restaurants in the area offer a special menu with prawns-
