Anne Frank was born on June 12 , 1929 in Frankfurt , Germany to Otto Frank and Edith Hollander .

She has an elder sister , Margot Frank . Adolf Hitler came to power in 1933 in

Germany . He disliked Jews and hence , established anti-Jewish laws .

Jews were forced to leave Germany and Frank family moved to Amsterdam in Holland to be safe .

Otto Frank set up a business at the Opekta Worksand in Amsterdam .

During the time World War II , took shape . On 12 June 1942 , Anne received an autograph

book from her father which she used it as a dairy. In 1942 , Frank family go into hiding in

Amsterdam .

Later Van Pels family and four other Otto’s business partners joined them .

Anne spend most of her time in studying and writing her thoughts and feelings in her dairy .

After staying two years in the annex , all the members of the annex got arrested .

Some of them were sent to gestapo headquarters. While the remaining were taken to Westbork by

train . Anne along with Margot and Edith were separated

from Otto in Auschwitz .

Anne and Margot were in infirmary surrounded by complete darkness .

Edith stopped eating and saved food for her daughter and passed it to them through a small hole that she made in the infirmary wall .

Edith later died due to starvation . After the war ended , Otto Frank returned to

Amsterdam . After several weeks he came to know that his

daughter Anne and Margot also died .
