Top 3 assignments

• 1- Community service project- it showed me the full power of serving others, I believe that it made me realize how grateful I am to have at least 2 meals a day and not have to struggle day to day.• 2- Scavenger hunt- I am a big fan of hands on experiences

and am really glad that the scavenger hunt was a major part of this class, it opened my eyes to the different options that Grayson county college offers.• 3- Guest speakers- without the help of the guest speakers I

wouldn’t be aware of the numerous clubs and organizations at the college that are there to help all student succeed.

Three favorite journals

• Chapter 2 journal entry 8- this assignment opened my eyes to the different ways you can approach all situations, good or bad, and get the best outcome based on the approach you take.• Chapter 3 journal entry 11- in this assignment I gained a

surreal and nostalgic perspective of a life event that has not yet come true, in this case, graduating from college to move on to bigger and better things in life using my education.• Chapter 6 journal entry 23- in this journal I noticed my self

defeating habits that can prevent me from achieving my goals, and now that I am aware of them I can take hold and set a better course for my future

Favorite module

• My favorite was Module 2: Accepting personal responsibility and metacognition.• This module taught me how to take responsibility for my own actions

and take control of my future by making good decisions in the present time.• It also showed me that I can think about thinking and making good

decisions by focusing on metacognition.

Three lessons

• Self responsibility- I will become more accountable for my actions, whether they are good or bad.

• Accomplishment- I will strive for my goals and do what is needed to accomplish them.

• Responsibility- I will begin to focus on my goals ahead of time, instead of the last minute, in life and in school.

Self assessment

Out of all of the categories listed, personal responsibility changed the most. I learned to quit blaming my lack of responsibility on others and outside forces and take control of my future.
