PLOTCONFLICT Donya Pia committed adultery with

Padre Damaso. Padre Damaso’s human nature led

him to compromised his profession.

Donya Pia hides the truth of who is the real father.

EXPOSITION Donya Pia was having a difficulty of delivering her

chid.

RISING ACTION Donya Pia was still struggling in delivering her

child and she keeps on screaming, “Dios ko patawad, sumpa ng Dios, patawad Santiago”. Kapitan Tiago and Padre Damaso was bothered and confused because of what Pia screamed.

Tiago asked Padre Damaso why God punished him even though he was a good man, a devoted Catholic and he even gave donations for the poor. The only thing he asked to God was to have his wife a trouble-free delivery. Tiago also said to Padre Damaso that he was thankful to him because he help Pia to have a child.

CLIMAX Kapitan Tiago told Padre Damaso that

Pia has a letter for him. After Kapitan Tiago left to get the letter, Padre Damaso prayed to God. In his prayer: he prayed to help Pia’s labor, he asked for forgiveness to all the wrongs he had done, he asked for strength to see the fruit of his weakness in flesh and he asked not to neglect him, Pia and the baby in her womb. He also stated in his prayer that he would not deny the fact that he is the father.

Pacing shared to Padre Damaso that while Pia was still in her pregnancy days. She prayed and curse the baby in her womb. She even tried to kill the child by drinking some kind of medicine.

FALLING ACTION Kapitan Tiago Handed

the letter to Padre Damaso and they heard her screaming again.

Pia gave birth to her child but Pia died.

RESOLUTION Padre Damaso brought the

baby to Kapitan Tiago. Kapitan Tiago was crying

because of losing his wife. Padre Damaso had a smile on

his face while looking at the child.

Kapitan Tiago noticed Padre Damaso’s reaction toward the baby and wondered.
