Creation of my magazine advertisement

Using Adobe Photoshop

I took a picture of myself holding a CD.

I cut the picture out of the CD

I added my own CD front cover in it

I added my titles and information

I made the hands black and white

I found this underline off of the internet

Why..

• I took my inspiration from Mumford and Son’s advertisement as they have a similar folk genre to Lester, and promote their music through raw talent not through an image.

• I personally thought that Mumford and Son’s advertisement was a little boring and not eye catching at all and therefore I made mine more interesting by adding my hands to make the viewer seem more involved as if they are actually holding the CD for themselves.

• I used their idea of having their CD cover on the advertisement as it makes it easier for the viewer to recognise the CD on the shelves, and that way it becomes more familiar in their minds.
