CHARACTER 1 – GIRLACTRESS – SCARLETT MOODYI have chosen Scarlett Moody as the actress to portray the character of the girl, which is the protagonists of the music video, because Scarlett is reliable and will be there when I need her and will be able to stick to the production schedule and any reshoots if they need to be done. She dons a small appearance, which in contrast to the character of the boy, who is the main antagonist and is considerably larger, can be vital in creating a visual difference which puts her at a disadvantage. This combined with her innocent looks will enable her to form the character of the girl and generate an atmosphere where the audience will fear for her life as she is put into a seemingly inescapable situation

I have decided that Scarlett shall be wearing casual party clothes that a regular teenager may wear. This is as she has attended the party in hopes to relax and have a good time. The colours of this will be brighter as I want her to have a distinction to the boy, who will be wearing dark colours. This may include a white T-shirt as the colour white is associated with innocence, purity and goodness, and blue jeans which represents calmness and tranquillity.

CHARACTER 2 – BOY ACTOR- CALLUM BALFOUR.

For the character of the boy, who is the main antagonist of my music video, I’ve decided to use Callum Balfour.I chose callum as he is a more versatile actor, which is good as for the first half of the music video he will be trying to come off as nice, until its revealed that he is in fact evil. Another good reason is that Callum has a tall and intimidating stature and presence, this allows him to perfectly execute the role of portraying the evil, provoking character that I aim to create. Callum is reliable and easy to use, so this allows him to be easy to film when I need him and enables him to be around for re shoots.

I aim to have callum dressed in regular casual party clothing, this can be so he blends in with the others at the party to begin with, before he reveals his true motives. However as I want him to be seen as also the antagonist, I’ve decided to have him wear more of a darker and urban look, this will consist of black Jeans and a black shirt with a few subtle red patterns on it, as these are popular among urban youth and are still casual, but the black may represent darkness and the red represents anger and rage.

CHARACTERS 3 – PEOPLE AT PARTYI have chosen:Angus meadsEllie PinderAvery HannamRoss Dennison Tabby smithJack Clarke

These characters don’t actually have much of a role apart from just talking or dancing in the background.I have chosen all of these people they are all reliable and they’ll be there when I need them. They all be wearing colourful, casual party clothes to try to create a realistic looking party.

CHARACTERS 4 – GANGThe actors:Jonah SavageKieran BrianTom Biggs RaynerHarry Newnham. The reason for this is that they are all reliable so they will be around to film when I need them, they all look intimidating and formidable, especially when they are all together as a group. This allows them to accurately portray the gang as threatening, dark and scary individuals. They will all be shown wearing dark black clothing, to represent evil, shadows and darkness. These range from either dark black coats or hoodies, as hooded figures are usually seen as threatening, black jeans or tracksuit bottoms and black beanies and flat peaks.

PROPS

The first props I am going to use are the drinks and bottles for the drinks at the party. I chose this as I feel it would make it more realistic as usual teenager house parties involve consumption of alcohol, so it would only be natural that it is drank out of bottles and glasses.

Another prop I will use is the drug the boy drops in the girls drink. I chose this as I felt that drugging someone is a completely evil and horrible act and it will help show that the character if the boy is the antagonist.

Another Prop I shall use will be 4 cars for the scene where the girl is surrounded by the cars and all of the headlights turn on. I chose this as with all the headlights turned on it’ll create more tension adding to the build up of the song.

Another Prop I will use is a cigarette. As cigarettes are seen as negative in society as they cause many problems and diseases, I think it will suit the main antagonist if he is seen smoking, showing he doesn’t care about his life decisions.

EQUIPMENTCanon 600D. This is the Camera I shall use for filming my music video. I have decided to use this as it is a good quality, reliable camera and is perfect for filming. It is one I can borrow from my sixth form, which gives it easy access and makes it convenient

Tripod from my sixth form as this will stabilise shots, allowing me to take the best possible shots and films. Which will result in a improved

SD Card to store the footage on the camera, and transfer it to a computer for editing

Adobe premiere Pro. This is a tool used to edit and manipulate the footage I have recorded. It is available to use at the school.

Adobe after effects. This will be used to edit in effects to my footage, hopefully adding and creating to the atmosphere and environment I aim to achieve.
