SUPERMARKET PRICES:

• Our students analyzed how the prices are organized and shown in supermarkets. They reached the following conclusions:

• White labels show the normal price, yellow labels indicate the offers. In addition there are also large signs that say if the product is 3x2 or if the 2nd unit is cheaper. All labels describe the product.

• Greengrocer: there are fruit and vegetables bags. The total price and also how much one kilo costs are shown.

• Clothing: labels are in the clothes. They show the size, color, price and barcode. If the garment is on offer, the label is yellow (clothes only, the others are on the shelves). There are better discounts that are put in the headers (which are the points at the beginning of the aisle). Every time they put more quantity and the sign is larger. In the area there are signs of the “last” units (which are items that remain in the shop, there are only one or two) and are cheaper.

TV COMERCIALS

• Our students analyzed how the commercials mislead the consumers . They reached the following conclusions:

• Most commercials are not true. For example: I don’t believe that Vanish Oxiation can make the cloths more white in just four washings. Vanish oxidation Crystal White: I don’t think it can remove the dirt, it only stains I. It cannot make everything white.

• Estrella: I don’t think it’s so efficient to clean the floor and the furniture.

• Fairy dishwasher: it’s said that just one drop can clean many dishes. The commercial cannot convince me that it can clean so many dishes.

• I don’t like the product Silly bang because it’s impossible that it can remove all the dirt in such little time. It cannot be that it is four times stronger than other cleaning products.

• The Nesquick with strawberry taste: I don’t think it tastes as strawberry. They have made it just in pink colour.

• Fair Haerious are helicopters that have two airscrews to fly but they don’t fly at all.

• Robo fish don’t work in the wáter and only work with batteries.
