Who am I?

What is Peace Corps? (in numbers)

•  March 1, 1961 •  8,655 current volunteers •  77 current countries being served •  200,000+ total volunteers to date •  139 total countries served •  28 is the average age •  7% of volunteers are over the age of 50

What does Peace Corps do? •  Established by President John F. Kennedy to

promote world peace and friendship. •  The Peace Corps’ mission has 3 simple

goals: 1.  Helping the people of interested countries in

meeting their need for trained men and women. 2.  Helping promote a better understanding of

Americans on the part of the peoples served. 3.  Helping promote a better understanding of other

peoples on the part of Americans.

What is Master’s International?

•  Unique opportunity to integrate a master’s degree with overseas service.

•  Available in 80 academic institutions nationwide.

•  1 year or 2 (depending on major) of academic study + 2 years of service with the Peace Corps.
