Activity 1

• Pupils carry out study of their school and its place in their local village, city, country.

• Links to curriculum, Geography, History etc.

• Results uploaded on a shared blog.

Activity 2

• Identify traditional crop. (Potato)

• The place of the potato in Irish culture.

• Grow the crop• Links with Science, History etc.

Activity 3

• Explore traditional games/dances /songs connected with the potato.

• All activities will be uploaded on a shared blog- photos, videos, artwork etc.

Activity 5

• Celebrations/traditions connected with harvesting potato

• Harvest Fairs/Hiring Fairs

Activity 6

• Display of all work done in the project.

• Local community involvement

Important Dates

• March 2012 All partner schools visit us

• June 2012 pupils from Mullaghbawn visit us

• June 2013 pupils from Loch an Iúir visit Armagh

• These will be overnight visits- 1-2 nights
