Coldplay Adventure Of A Lifetime Music Video The first shot of the music video for Coldplay’s Adventure Of A Lifetime instantly establishes location through mise en scene. There is a high angle shot of what seems to be a rainforest or some kind of large forest. It is an interesting location as the audience wants to know more about why the chosen location is in a forest. The colour palette is quote warm as there are shades of yellow and orange which creates a sense of happiness and peace and the setting is picturesque and therefore suggests a calm atmosphere. One of the next few shots shows the chimpanzees standing up together which establishes that these are the four members of Coldplay. Although it is not clear which one is who in the band, the audience can identify these animals are Coldplay. The camera is filming in a covert style because there is a leaf and other foliage in front of the camera to suggest this is filmed secretly. It creates a sense of documentary and that somebody is documenting a day in the life of a wild animal. Coldplay Adventure Of A Lifetime Music Video

The first shot of the music video for Coldplay’s Adventure Of A Lifetime instantly establishes location through mise en scene. There is a high angle shot of what seems to be a rainforest or some kind of large forest. It is an interesting location as the audience wants to know more about why the chosen

location is in a forest.

When the chimpanzee’s stand up the audience realise that this isn’t a short documentary, these animals are anthropomorphic which creates a fun music video because the audience wouldn’t expect these animals to act in such a way that resembles a human. As the music video continues, the chimpanzees act more and more like humans. This is shown when the drums and guitar are being

played by the animals; the audience will associate each chimpanzee with the members of Coldplay just by the instruments they are playing. The whole music video has a sense of film as the opening scene says ‘A Mat Whitecross Film’ which suggests that the music video may be in the form of a short film which is an interesting way to present a music video; It seems like it is very ‘planet Of The

Apes’ with the chimpanzees being the main characters in the video and they have developed human characteristics just the like animals in the actual film. People who are fans of The Planet Of The Apes franchise will enjoy this music video and it will attract a wider audience.
