Online learning
– Students at Twynham School have had access to a learning platform since 2003 using Microsoft SharePoint
– The arrival of SharePoint 2007 has allowed us to add a rich range of functionality which encourages students at Twynham to be active participants in the school community and take responsibility for their learning
– In a short space of time we have managed to gain very high user adoption by students, then staff and finally parents.
The key to high user adoption in students– Involve students from the very beginning pre-design – Use your Student Council– Create BETA testing groups
– Give students ownership of areas by making them administrators
– Constantly review with students to maintain community– Look for continual development- evolution not revolution
