INTRODUCTION

• Every industries target to make their product with low cost.

• Lot of factors affect during production like labours, power, raw-materials etc.

• Tyre Extrusion is one of the process which consumes power very much.

• This project is a solution to reduce this excessive power consumption.

• 2 motors are continuously working.(at present system with out PLC).

• The clamp inside extruder is opened .(using motors).

• Threshold value of pressure is reached (manually checked).

• Die is taken out and remaining rubber is removed.

• Motors are manually switched off.

• So with the aid of a PLC this can be done very easily.

• Manually this job is very time consuming .

• The threshold value is set on PLC and opening and closing

of clamp is also done by the control of PLC.

• Also adding an interactive display for the status of the system.

• Adding a PLC (Programmable logic controller) to DUAL EXTRUDER HYDRAULIC POWER PACK.

• Which will control the motors ON & OFF action.

• So the motors will only work for about 6 hrs.

• Reducing the energy consumtion.
