11stst Amendment Amendment

The first amendment is the freedom of speech, religion, petition, assembly, and press. Freedom of speech is when you can say what you want but have to take responsibility for what you say. Freedom of Religion is when you can practice any religion but you can’t sacrifice any living thing. Freedom of petition is when people sign a piece of paper saying they want something to change. Freedom of assembly is when you can gather in large groups. Freedom of press is when newspapers can print papers with true information.

The second amendment states we have a right to carry a weapon.

The third amendment states that government cannot put soldiers in your house without your consent.

44thth Amendment Amendment

The fourth amendment protects you from unreasonable searches and seizures. This means officers cannot take you in or search you without a good reason or warrant.

55thth Amendment Amendment

The fifth amendment allows you to be put in front of a grand jury and you can’t be tried more than once for one crime. You also have the right to remain silent. This means if you are proven innocent you cannot be tried again and be found guilty. This also means you don’t have to speak.

66thth Amendment Amendment

Speedy & Public To be told what you have done

Sixth amendment states you can have a speedy and public trial. You can also have the trial where the crime happened. You have the right to know what you are being accused of and face accuser. You also have the right to call witnesses and attorney.

77thth Amendment Amendment

Right to a jury in a civil case. This means you can have a jury present when you are asking for money from another person. Like if you are in an accident and want the other person to pay for the damage or injury.

88thth Amendment Amendment

The eighth amendment says you cannot have a huge fine or bail for a small crime. It has to be a reasonable amount. Also no cruel and unusual punishment. No more electric chairs.

This amendment basically says you have more right that are not listed.

This are rights that are made by the states. Like in some states it is illegal to have an abortion.

1313thth Amendment Amendment

The thirteenth amendment abolished slavery. This means we cannot have African Americans

1414thth Amendment Amendment

The fourteenth amendment guarantees equal protection and due process. Due process is when the government can’t take away your life, liberty, or property without due process of law.

The 15th amendment guarantees the right to vote to men. All men of every color. If you are old enough.

19th Amendment19th Amendment

This gave women the right to vote!! All women every color if you are old enough.
