(indirect presentation)_ “He prided himself on his connoisseurship in wine”.From the quotation we know he/Fortunato has a great skill about vintage wine. He is probably a seller of wine.He pride as with his connoisseurhip about wine.

_ Montressor: the noise lasted for several minutes,during which, that I might hear to it with the more satisfaction, I ceased my labours and sat down upon the bones.Montressor: horible, maniac and evil.

The Plot may be : Simple plot Beginning : They were Fortunato and Montressor

who knew about them each other. Someday, because Fortunato liked insulting Montressor. Montressor planned to kill Fortunato. By the too much mockery, Montressor could not accept it anymore and swear to kill him.

Climax : Montressor pushed Fortunato and

chained him. Montressor killed Fortunato slowly and enjoyed the murder atmosphere when Montressor in process to kill Fortunato.

Resolution : After killing Fortunato, Montressor was

still silent about his crime and never felt guilty about it.

H. Setting or SituationPLACE Neutral : in the vault and catacomb. Time : at the carnival. Tone : the vault was damp, cold, dark extensive, and encrusted with nitrogen. Mood : Fortunato = interest about wine, drunk, confuse, curious.

Montressor = anger, wild.

I. STYLE IMAGERY : …. “we will go back; your health is precious. You are rich, respected, admire , beloved ,you are happy as once I was.”

The quality of Fortunato life was same with Montressor, Montressor also came from an educated family and sufficiently.

Diction Denotation :

Montressor : “ Drink,”

I said, presenting him the wine.

It means Montressor asked Fortunato to drink the wine.

Connotation :

in a field azure is same with a blue field.
