Analysis of Viral videos: 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQcVllWpwGs The video works as a viral ad as it incorporates many things that the internet sees as funny and are one of the highest viewed things on youtube, Babies. Incorporate that with a lot of humour and putting them in a scenario in which you obviously wouldn’t see babies in , really adds to the appeal of the advert. Plus having CGI that looks genuinely realistic really adds to the success of this advert 2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnzFRV1LwIo This video works on many levels to become a successful viral ad. The ad uses very simple camera angles and a very simple premise, but works simply because its humourous and as is the case with many successful ads has little to do with the product itself , but it still somehow intices you to want to purchase the product. 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owGykVbfgUE This video is a good example of a comedic viral ad that is complex to make yet has a very good and effective outcome, first started as an internet only campain, it grew so large the company decided to take it onto tv, with the sales of old spice rocketing because of this ad. The ad has great camera work as it uses one single take meaning that the only editing that was needed was that of after effects. Whilst this type of filming might not be right for our project, the qualities it does have make it one of the biggest inspirations for our project. 4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6yCgtehwUE This video is an older ad but a popular one as it was one of the first really famous viral ads. Its simple in design and concept but works because its once again comedic. The best inspiration we can get is how simple it is and how good the execution is, the camera angles and editing are all very slight and the commentary track really ads to the ads overall presentation. 5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX2xS9vPQ-Y This is a viral that isn’t a comedic advertisement , but one of ambience, this advert really sets the scene and brings you into the advert without going away from the point that its promoting coke. The camera work animation are fluent and doesn’t take you out of the setting.

This is another comedic advert that works well by using sharp cuts and little dialogue is an inspiration for

our video as it mirrors how we wanted our video to come out , with a comedic overtone on top of it.

One of the most funny and famous adverts to ever be created, a very popular advert, that like near

enough every ad I’ve covered has a lot of comedic qualitys, the ad has very little cuts and that really

adds to the quality of the ad itself. This really is an inspiration for us as it is very simple and effective,

which is what we really wanted to go for.

This is obviously the biggest inspiration for us , as this is basically the professional version of what we

really wanted to do, except from the angry bird going to different games. This is an extremely well made

video that has a high budget, and a lot of great editing that really shows the enjoyment and fun that the

Ad tries to conveys

This is a viral ad that is very popular for its comedic moments and its shock factor of the message its

trying to show. The uses of a little child and the tag line at the end really drives there point home and

really round out the advert.

One of the most famous viral ads of recent years, its extremely simple, yet just as effective it has very

little editing and may have nothing to do with the chocolate bar itself, but is famous for its simplicity and

comedy
